Gerdau Long Steel North America announces price rises

Gerdau Long Steel America has increased the published price of its wide flange beams, standard beams and structural products by $1.50/cwt ($30 per net ton) and has increased the transactional price on H-Piling by $2.25/cwt ($45 per net ton). 

The company has also increased the transactional price of its sheet piling products by $7.50/cwt ($150 per net ton). 

The company claims that all orders confirmed by close of business on 11 June will be price protected if shipped before July 14th. 

"We will continue to monitor the market to ensure Gerdau and its partners are on a competitive playing field and reserve the right to make adjustments to our pricing policy as needed," said Rob Thompson, vice president, sales and marketing, Gerdau Long Steel North America.
